Introducing Molly Moo

Hello everyone. I'm Molly Moo.  Jenny calls me the elf cat and if you look at my photo you can see why.I don't do silly things like the others, so my most interesting story is how I ended up living here.

I'm very shy and just a little bit cheeky sometimes.  I was actually living here for quite a while before Jenny knew - hehe.  There are some great hiding spots in this house and I know them all.  So I just hid and waited for her to go to work.  Then I would come out and have a meal then go and hide again and stay very still and quiet.

Having been dumped I didn't trust people and after fending for myself for a while I wasn't too fussed about other cats either - they were my competitors.  So I avoided both.

I got my timing wrong one day and was "outed" - so to speak, and that was the beginning of my new life. It took a few days, but I finally came around and let her pick me up - not sure if that was a good thing, because next thing I knew I'd been desexed.  I found out later from the others that this is standard procedure at this house.  Desexing, microchip and vacinations.  Once initiated I became one of the "glaring", "clutter" or "clowder". For those of you who don't understand - these are the three collective nouns used to describe a group of cats.

So now my life consists mainly of sleeping and eating.  I still keep my distance from the other cats and only allow Jenny to pat me every now and then.  Thankfully I don't have to worry about worms or fleas anymore, or the unwanted attention of tom cats.  I don't worry about not having kittens, and we actually adopted one in January - Miss Kitty.  She'll be talking to you soon to tell her story.  She copped a double whammy - first unwanted and dumped, then washed away in the flood.  Lucky for her she ended up at Jenny's friend Corrie's place and Corrie knew exactly where to bring her.  I think she grieves for her brothers and sisters sometimes because she doesn't know what happened to them, but she is settling in well and driving us all crazy.  Typical kitten, but we all love her.  Only Elsie (Little Cat) doesn't like her, but Elsie doesn't like anyone - and that too is another story.

Well it is time for me to sleep, you probably won't hear from me much because that's just me.  I'll speak when there is something to say!
